Dependencies
- Piccolo is a Java toolkit for developing ZUIs. It is being used in the time line control and a newer canvas we are trying out. Of interest are the Piccolo API documentation and the Piccolo Patterns document. It is licensed under a Mozilla Public License.
- Apache XML components are used to do the parsing. Since this functionality is bundled with newer versions of Java, we may stop using this in the future. It is licensed under the Apache Software License.
- HP Jena provides the RDF management for the AppLoader. We are using Jena2 for its data type and xml:lang support. It is licensed under the Jena License.
- The Flavor system provided bootstrapping for the pure Java MPEG-1 decoder, and, although we don't use its output directly, we are still dependent on its bit stream class. It is licensed under the Flavor Artistic License.
- QuickTime for Java gives us support for a variety of media types beyond MPEG-1 and those supported by the Java foundation classes. Unfortunately, it is a platform-dependent library, so it may only be used on Windows and Macintosh computers at the moment.
